Echoes, thick walls of sound, evasive rhythms, outdated electronics, brain-marinating drones, feral percussion, race car engines, low-end throbs, obligatory feedback, drum solos, bass solos, guitar solos, plastic flute solos, foreveradio. Yeah.
Bio / Background
Hit the Plains Down
So we get back down to the 'Handle and we get back down to business and basically the working process here was of a kind with the predecessor thereof, yes? That is, make a date for say "between 10 and 11", hit the Pharmacy around noon, maybe, find Ric Dic there already of course mic in hand like he's ready to poetry slam, commence rocking on the count of three (though usually four, occassionally, say, eleven like).
New toys: the Line of the Beast, the foxxy fudge-wand, the purcussive MACHINE incorporating manual option if you wanna get technical, the ol' "attention-campers-the-time-has-come-for-a-little-mandatory-capture-el-flag-o-la" if you knowhatimean, the toyzIImen, a visit from the President George Double, glossy-paper-printed inspiration, and of course the BEAUTIFUL SPINNING METAL DISC WHICH WAS MORE THAN WE HAD EVER DREAMED and inspired its grateful recipient to devise eversoclever uses for it... we miss it... I miss it...
↓ more ↓don't you guys miss it?
Old toys: how canst one be tougher than buffalo hide if one has no buffalo hide? Rest assured we are never without buffalo hide, shells an' I ain't talkin' 'bout no day at the beach there son, borrowed gear like new old friends, the lift-off coordinator machine without which there would never have been so many far-reaching journeys into the fantastic realms of digital space digital space nor a curtain behind which to hide the wizard and his shall we say finger-oriented shortcomings, so many stompers chipped and scratched like your favorite car, and for god's sake you don't really think we were about to undertake such a daunting task without an antenna in the air for the purloined fragments of wisdom that clutter the waves of diminutive length.
Supporting cast: well, Ricky D, obviously, riding that board like it was of the wheeled variety, and Shelley O, doncha know, putting glass against steel and winding those little plastic circles to bring the weapon with his ad hoc partner in this session's particular crime, Uzi, you see, who may have done one thing but also may have done the other half it's one of those details that gets lost but you're not all that concerned, Tom, the bomb, previewing the latest mix so he could say he heard it before you, McFeely, no really!, providing the shirtoffourbacks to represent the Heavy Gold, Sugar Brown, in between rounds of eighteen for a last minute check-in to see what condition our condition was in, Beautiful Skin, come on in and witness the session of throwing stuff, very musical indeed, Eric, where it comes down to an exuberant evening of playing with little scraps of paper and trying to remember when we played certain things and what exactly we were thinking at the time. And others, and others.
The final editing process will not be discussed for reasons understood by all four present.
In conclusion: they are sticks. They are slow. But... are they bundled? We believe they are indeed "grouped" as it were.
Are we there yet?
