Bio / Background
Trio de Swing's first release contains eleven standards and one original composition by pianist David Austin, all done with a fresh approach. The feel here is one of spontaneity, not simply a nostalgic look back. It features strong jazz playing and a feel of immediacy throughout. You'll find the groove infectious -- it swings like mad.
Trio de Swing consists of David Austin on piano, John Clark on bass and Bob Blankenship on drums, all veteran San Francisco Bay Area jazz musicians. Making this album was a complete pleasure and we think it shows in the music. Give it a listen...we think you'll enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it.
