Bio / Background
Born Ryan Hamilton in Brunswick, Georgia, Trigga Da Don is the middle of five children. Having grown up in a single parent household, Ryan knows what it means to struggle and to live in less than desirable conditions. Ryan was educated in the Brunswick Public School System and was thriving until he reached the fourth grade. At that time he witnessed the horrific death of his friend. Needless to say, this event left him traumatized and it affected his ability to concentrate and pay attention in school. It was through his love for music that he taught himself to read better and recognize words. He would incorporate his vocabulary words into the lyrics of his songs. In spite of being discouraged by friends and even some of his teachers, Ryan graduated from Brunswick High School in the spring of 2003. He then went on to attend Coastal Georgia Community College in the fall of that same year.
↓ more ↓Once you have experienced his music, you will agree that Trigga is unquestionably an extremely talented writer, producer and audio engineer. His profound lyrics shed light on his political views, street life, poverty and many other social ills. The dominant influences in his life and his music have been his Mother, TuPac, Marvin Gaye, Malcolm X, and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Trigga Da Don recorded his first professional song at the age of fourteen and by the time he reached 19 years of age he had mastered the ability to compose beats and record his own lyrics. With the help of his brother, Leroy Hamilton, together they founded Most Wanted Crown Holders Records, Inc. shortly after Trigga’s 20th birthday. He has been the opening act for such well-known comedians as Barbara Carlyle and Just June to name a few. Trigga earned his name because he could spit lyrics fast and strong just like rounds coming out of an automatic weapon and he spoke with the authority of “the boss of all bosses”.

Review of “Grind Hard Vol. 1: Why Would I Leave” by Xavier P. for RadioIndy.com!RadioIndy wrote on September 25, 2007
Grind Hard Vol. 1: Why Would I Leave? by Trigga Da Don is a polished and enjoyable hip-hop/rap CD. On the CD, Trigga brings out a Southern rap style in songs that relate to street life, poverty, political views, and other social issues. After listening to the fast, clear, and well-syncopated lyrics on this CD, you'll know why Trigga earned his name. The songwriting, production and recording quality on this CD are all solid. In fact, Trigga complements his thoughtful lyrics, with a strong backing beat and interesting sound effects, like the church bells and race car on Bout Da Action. Furthermore, the choruses are melodic and memorable, including the vocals in the chorus of In My Room. One word of caution, with its healthy dose of profanity, this is a CD for mature audiences. Fans of hip/hop-rap and artists such as 2Pac, will enjoy this CD.
