Bio / Background
Traxx from da Waxx Vol. 1 is based on the tru school philosophies of the original hip hop culture born out of New York City in the late 70's. Representing the 4 main pillars of hiphop- breakin, djing, graffiti, and mcing, Club Waxx out of Houston, Texas was established in the early 90's to continue pushing the envelope for the global hiphop community. This club was the first universal hiphop spot in Houston, Texas and hosted many famous acts such as Mix Master Mike, Rahzel, DJ Aphrodite, The Roots, Kool Keith, T.C. Islam(Afrika Bambaataa's son), DAS EFX, and Black Sheep, just to name a few.
