This album is a bluesy pop rock with a twist of folk.
Bio / Background
Tracy Marie's second release, The One in The Sun may be the building of a border beyond the previous free range of the Assassin Woman release. From the empowering opening folk-rock/country track, "Own Risk Sign" which features a danceable, feel-good beat, to the mellow intensity of "Since You Haven't Been Around", this album delivers a consistent ride that you'll want to take time and again. "Rise" is a pop-rock explosion of envy which is pardoned by the humble down to earth final track, "The Old Oak Tree". "Could be Love", a poem written by Sherry Gavanditti pairs well as the title and words soulfully incorporated into the Tracy Marie compositon, and "Hey, Hey, Hey" boasts a group of guys repeating the catchy hook over the funky bass and driving beat.
The One in the Sun, which was unofficially released in the summer of 2003 is the second release of Singer/Songwriter, Tracy Marie.
↓ more ↓The album includes musicians: Ron Hiss on drums, Ernie Arroyo on bass, Mike Garrett on guitar, Sam Phillips on percussion, Tracy Marie on vocals and guitar and special guest David Ray Mayfield appearing courtesy of Bassboy Records on banjo, guitar and mandolin on The Old Oak Tree. Backing vocals on Hey, Hey, Hey is David Ray Mayfield, Ron Hiss, Tony Gammalo and Sam Phillips. This album was recorded and mixed by producer, Ben Schigel at Spider Studio in Strongsville Ohio. The artwork for this record was designed by Charlie Saber. All Songs were written by Tracy Marie except Could be Love lyrics contributed by TS Gavanditti.
