Bio / Background

At a time when many see Rock n Roll as dead, Throwback Suburbia arrives with a healthy beating heart, offering plenty of oxygen to the brain. In early 2005, songwriting and production team, Mike Collins and Jimi Evans decided it was time to create what it was they were missing in modern music. The two spent a year writing and producing demos that have now evolved into the sound and backbone of the band. With a determination to return to the stage and bring their modern rock meets retro-pop sound to the masses, the two recruited bassist Eric French and guitarist Paul Bond. Throwback Suburbia was more than merely assembled-they were complete. The chemistry and sound of this band reminds us of a time when music was more than a disposable commodity. You cant help but hear the influence of classic artists such as Tom Petty, Cheap Trick and the Rolling Stones as well as more modern influences like Green Day, Rooney and Butch Walker.
