Bio / Background

This Dying Need is part of a generation of bands breaking free of the simple traditional guitar, bass, and drum sounds that has plagued the radio for the last fifty years. This Dying Need is music you can really sink your teeth into: Complex voicing and intellectual lyrics, dark, poetic, hypnotizing, electronic, organic, hard edged music with a danceable beat..

This Dying Need consists of one person, Russell Lee. Lee has solely mixed, produced and created the depths of this project with undying perseverance. Lee’s studies of styles ranging from classical to metal and electronic music has given him a diverse range of colors from his artist’s pallet.

Lee has mixed these styles to create what This Dying Need has become, a compelling, mind- blowing journey in music and experimentation in sound

Lee states, “It was my focus to become intimate with the music and to be completely submerged while writing it.
