Bio / Background
THE WEB is a Sydney-based collective of electronic musicians, dancers and artists, including both Indigineous and non-indigenous musicians and dancers.
Inspired by natural tribal rhythms and organic samples, , sounds of The Web include everything from Breakbeat, to Trance, R&B, Hip-hop,and feature traditional aboriginal vocalists from remote communities around Australia. Blended with the natural sounds of frogs, insects, native birds, and other organic sounds - the voices of the living planet .
Recently crystallising ideas that began as Didjibyte back in 2000, the emergence of The Web in 2005 is the didj-driven tribal dance grooves of Didjibyte, with culturally unifying vision , ecological foundation and indigenous collaboration.
The Web is an audio-visually engaging experience melting the boundaries between a technologically progressive 21st century culture and our ancient earth-based tribal roots.

I sat at home browsing some of my daily bookmarks when I came upon a short videoclip with this aboriginal playing didgeridoo to this really intense trancetrack. I fell in love with it and did a search at google and after some further searching came to this page and this group. Now, normally, I don't exactly "buy" my music if you get what I mean but I didn't hesitate for a second when I bought this. My only grief is that in Sweden, where I live, The cd isn't available. My personal favorite is "kickin kookas" which is the trancetrack I told you about before. The other tracks are great to, for example "electro gecko" which has somewhat more electronic sound with a more breakbeat-like rhythm. I have two favorite instruments in the world: didgeridoo and Roland's Tb-303 and this track has both, although it sounds like it isn't the "real deal" when it comes to the mighty 303. It is really good none the less... I really recommend this minialbum. My only grief is that I can't find any more tracks by this group.... Anyone out there with more info? /cheers and thx for a great album:)
