Where there is Life, there is Hope... by The Lifeline

Throughout the rest of their college careers the Lifeline played many shows in upstate New York where Hope attended school, received extensive airplay on local radio stations as well as opened for major label acts such as My Chemical Romance and As Tall as Lions. After a brief relocation to Champaign IL, the band was voted number one local band by Green Street Records was a featured artist on their annual compilation and received radio airplay on many local stations such as 90.1 WEFT and 107.1 WPGU. With their final move to Chicago, the Lifeline has seen most of their success blossom there. With numerous successful shows to date at most of Chicago's premier venues, as well a second place finish at the 2006 XMG International Music Conference in Chicago, the Lifeline is becoming a well known name amongst those in the Chicago music scene.

Their latest E.P. "Where there is Life, there is Hope..." is a collection of songs meant to be heard in a single sitting, however each track seems to hold it's own as a separate thought. "Pink Floyd has always been one of my major influences as a musician" Hope says of the meaning behind the album. "They had such an incredible sense of dynamics from song to song, which is what we were trying to capture with ours." From the hard-hitting "Listening to the Lies" to the deeply melodic and haunting "Ghosts", the band has delivered a style and feeling that much of today’s mainstream rock lacks. "We really strive to appeal to all music listeners," says Faber when asked about their sound, "We as a band come from such a diverse musical background, that we understand the need to hear a wide variety of musical styling."

The band's newest record is certainly proving to be living up to their expectations in the Chicagoland area. Playing to packed audiences on almost a weekly basis is becoming nothing out of the ordinary for this group of five. Together with Hope and Faber the Lifeline includes Eddie Yonushatis on Guitar, Lonni Lane on Drums and Berto Salgado on bass. As the Lifeline finishes the material for their next album they seek much needed help in the form of label representation or management, as their daily task list continues to pile up. With a full calendar for the spring the band plans on taking their music to the next level.
