The Breed take the high-energy, fun-loving rock music from the British 60s Mods and Beat Groups through to new skool melodic punk.
Bio / Background
The Breed : Fab, Far-out and Groovy!
Originally founded in 1992, and first playing in public from 1993 to 1996, The Breed was started in Hobart, Tasmania (Australia's "Island State") and featured the talents of Wayne (guitars) and Steve "B&Massa" J (bass - it's pronounced BAND-mass-uh, by the way). The current lineup of Wayne, Steve "B&Massa" J (bass) and Steve B (drums) was reformed in 2005 out of the ashes of the original lineup (Wayne and Steve J) and The Fabs (Wayne and Steve B).
The Breed plays a blend of aggressive 60s powerpop, mod revival, classic garage and melodic punk. This is unashamedly music for the neck, down. Beat, melody and energy are all you need for a good night out, leave the art at home.
