Originally released in 2001, Runaway was the first full album completed by Trance Blackman. It was the also the first completely self-produced effort by the prolific Canadian talent. Quotes are from the artist, Trance Blackman...
The album contains 13 original songs, written (roughly) between 1994 and 2001. The song styles/genres can be best described as melodic pop/rock with elements of dance, retro and European influences. There's music to delight almost anyone's ear, anywhere in the world.
"I grew up listening to so many different styles of music. It's influenced my writing in the way that I often experiment in many directions, creating a bit of a mosaic of sound for an album. Personally, I love listening to an album that's got a number of differing styles, so long as it's not one complete side of the spectrum to the other, like a movie soundtrack. This one definitely has more 'flow'.
