Bio / Background
Described by critics as being "One of the most uniquely explosive three piece bands to have ever emerged from the Fox Valley," Tate Rooper has created their tight sound from a wide range of individual influences into what they are today. Over the last 6 years they have performed for thousands across the Midwest and have gained wide recognition for creating such a large, unique sound as a three piece.
Jason Schaefer and Brett Spindler formed the band in 2000 and began gigging in the Valley shortly after. Tate Rooper has developed their sound through years of experimentation. The style, though classified as fusion-rock, fearlessly crosses many genres of musical influences. The band attributes their style to performers such as: The Police, Tower of Power, Steely Dan, Rush, as well as many others. Their sound combines progressive jazz/rock with pop sensibility with a splash of funk.

Night after night the band proves themselves as being one of the best bands around as their sound and energy demonstrates their stand-out abilities. In 2004 the band was included on the compilation album, "The best of Mill Creek Vol 1," including the area's best local acts and received airplay on 105.7 WAPL.
