Original contemporary jazz with dazzling improvisations by virtuoso musicians.
Bio / Background
Jerry Tachoir and the Group Tachoir - "Beyond Stereotype" consists of: Jerry Tachoir - vibes & marimba, Marlene Tachoir - piano & voice, Roy Vogt - Bass, and Dan Needham - Drums.
All of the compositions on this CD are by award winning Composer, Marlene Tachoir.
The Nashville Scene - review by Michael McCall states - "Like Campari on ice or a dollop of fine sorbet, the melodic jazz of Jerry and Marlene Tachoir has an elegant simplicity that speaks of time-honored elements refined to their essence. Theirs is the jazz of breezy French farces, of the unfettered lightness of a fleeting romantic day on a sun-splashed beach. it's music that sparkles, with an easy artfulness that comes from knowing one's craft without needing to be showy about it.
The best moments of this quartet outing find Marlene's piano and wordless vocal tones shadowing the light, dazzling steps of Jerry's vibraphone.
↓ more ↓The pair moves together like Ginger with Fred-the intricacy of their musical dance is belied by the casual effortlessness of their expertise."
