Bio / Background

Swift Ships welcomes you to the land of Losers and Sluts - a rough and rugged territory where disaster abounds and beautiful things lurk in the shadows. L&S is our second full-length release. A looser, more lighthearted affair than our debut Rebel Renaissance, L&S keeps our signature guitar crunch, our signature guitar soloing, and our signature self-deprecating lyrical felicity rolling forward over more groove-oriented, loop-based material. What started out as a series of home demos to be reworked in the studio became a collection of songs and performances endearing to their creators, impossible to replace, and worthy of display just the way they are. The recordings are imperfect, zit-faced, even hobbled at times, but they are also strong and rather true to the emotions that spawned them. Every loser and every slut has someone who loves them - and these are our little losers. We’re proud of what they can do.
