An English female fronted acoustic based band with multicultural influences - both seductive and provocative, unconventional yet highly accessible.
Bio / Background
Based around the prolific song writing of Della Perrett, this acoustic trio is inspired by a variety of musical styles, from African to funk to country with a twist. Drummer, Simon Cunningham's multicultural rhythms exploit the quirkiness of the message of Sweetedge while Muz Murray provides a solid foundation on his 5 string bass. Together they developing a sound that is exciting and challenging. The three partners in crime offer a contrast between extreme sensitivity and a sense of what is not included but implied - to boldly and provocatively 'speak the unspeakable'. The overall tone is delivered by Della's soulful and uncompromising voice. She likes to sing as if playing her saxophone, an instrument she regrets not being able to play live whilst actually singing and playing guitar!
