Smooth soulful volcals like it's predecessor vol.1, with a slight country twist highlighting some Ray Charles and Charlie Pride favorites.
Bio / Background
In keeping with the original" Dinner @ Eight"vol.1 concept of smooth soulful vocals within a contemporary easy listening setting, Swanson adds a bit of country soul seasoning to vol.2 with some Ray Charles and Charlie Pride classics. While retaining his warm R&B style, David treats each song as his own without mimicking or imitating the originators. Ray would be proud. If song titles and composers determine genre, then you would find vol.2 in the country category. However if you were to go by sound and feeling, you would maybe categorize it as easy listening. In any case, what you get here is a great voice singing great songs comfortable in any category, in any venue at any time and any place.
