Bio / Background

Sven Curth is the front man/guitarist/songwriter for the acclaimed Adirondack band JIM which has toured nationally for nearly 10 years. His debut solo album explores a little bit more introspective domain, but still maintains plenty of the humor and irreverence that Jim fans have grown to love. This is primarily a guitar driven album (he's a guitarist, after all) but is complete with a full instrumentation of bass, drums, and piano that Sven performed and recorded himself. With forays into slide blues, jazzy ballads, mellow pop, rockabilly and urban style beats, this album presents a variegated mixture of mood and tone.
