Bio / Background
Sundad, comprised of father and son guitarists, John Eurell Sr. and John Jr., and percussionist Chet Soares, is making their name as one of a new class of acoustic bands whose compositions, recordings, and live performances are filled with eclectic rhythms, harmonies, and chord changes. The original repertoire consists of mostly finger-style acoustic guitar instrumentals that have been described as "New Age, World Fusion" and Jam-Band music. The group is based in Conn. and Westchester County, NY.
Recently nominated by NAR (NewAgeReporter.com) for 2005 "Best New Artist" and "Best Instrumental Album - Acoustic", their CD, Journey To Eternity, debuted at #3 on the New Age Reporter's Top 100 New Age/Ambient/World Radio/Internet Airwaves Chart (August 2005), was #4 in Sept, has been on the Top 100 chart since being released, and is #23 in the Top 100 chart for all of 2005. The CD has aired across the U.S.
