Bio / Background

The Storyboards is the name for the music of John Foust, a basement auteur who crafts intelligent and melodic songs that are steeped in the classics of AM radio and filtered through the self-conscious retrospection of DIY indie rock.

Stagger & Sway is Foust’s first record as The Storyboards. It offers up a diverse yet coherent collection of evocative songs ranging from the T-Rex boogie of ‘Oh Jackie’ and the Big Star power-pop of ‘Eileen’ to the quiet county swagger of ‘Winter & Wine.’ Performed with all of the heart and ambition you’d expect from a one man band, Stagger & Sway is infectious and moving.
