Bio / Background
Las Vegas guitarist and session ace Steve Levine has performed with artists as diverse as the late George Burns to the smooth jazz artist Phil Perry. Steve has performed on the Las Vegas strip for over ten years and has been performing and recording for over thirty years.
This album of much loved Christmas carols reflects the warmth of the holiday season.
This CD features beautifully recorded electric and acoustic guitars. Many of the arrangements have piano, bass, drums and lush strings. Here are some recording notes from Steve.
1. "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" A bossa nova with influences of Lee Ritenour and George Benson.
2." We Three Kings" This smooth jazz waltz goes down like butta’. Sounds a bit like the classic Charley Brown arrangements. George Benson and Pat Metheny influences heard on this one.
3. "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" Haunting, Ethereal, Reverent.
4. "Hark The Herald Angels Sing" I cried when I recorded this one. Not because of me but because of HIM.
