Leading a band of downtown New York's finest musicians Steve's songs instantly envelop you like a favorite leather jacket. Feel the nostalgia of As Time Goes By, breathe the obsessive edginess of Come To Me, and walk the wasteland of American Gothic.
With subtly addictive melodies and layered vintage and exotic instruments Lee's recordings spool out like a late night drive down an empty stretch of highway and haunt like the images just beyond the headlights reach. Combining Steve's keen insights into the human condition with exceptional backing from producer/bassist John Abbey, drummer Phil Cimino, percussionist Jagoda, and guitarists Jimmy Lee and Lance Doss (as well as special guests) establishes a solid foundation for further musical explorations.
