Bio / Background

Capturing the sound and magic of the glory days of classic rock, Standing Hampton dishes out a new recipe with a vintage taste. Five performers (1 gal / 4 guys) have delivered a musical tour de force that unleashes a flashback of guitars, drums, synthesizers and soaring vocal melodies. The Des Moines based quintet features four part harmonies with 2 members sharing lead vocal chores. Their original musical vision can at times sound like Aerosmith on estrogen or Fleetwood Mac on steroids….a juggernaut at full steam ahead or kicked back and groovin’. But the bottom line is Standing Hampton rocks and that’s the musical truth.
