Indie Rock with Who-like musical excess: A tasty platter of meaty guitar riffs and dressed-up lyrics in a well-seasoned rhythm section, finished with a dallop of resentment.

One positive outcome of a band deciding to call it quits is the potential for new musical endeavors to be born. Since their split in 2000, fans of soulrockers The Afghan Whigs have experienced singer/guitarist Greg Dulli's R & B adventure, The Twilight Singers. In the past few years former whigs bassist John Curley has found time between his busy family life and running his recording studio in Cincinnati to form Staggering Statistics. Teamed up with Austin Brown (vox, guitar) and Joe Klug (drums, bvox), this trio's debut full length is an expressive rock n roll record built by prolific and experienced musicians. The loose and innate feel of the performances highlights each member's natural ability, while keeping all eight tracks cohesive. Soulful and gritty melodies backed by pounding rhythms will attract rock, blues and art rock enthusiasts alike.
