Bio / Background
STACY ALLYN BAKER is an up and coming singer/songwriter. Originally from New Hampshire, she just graduated from Berklee College of Music and is quickly catching the attention of the Boston music scene. Her commanding voice, teamed with her distinct style, cannot help but captivate any audience. Stacy embodies the same raw vocal power that can be heard in such artists as Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston; the melodic essence of such artists as James Taylor and Norah Jones; and a gift for songwriting that mirrors Billy Joel and Carole King. Stacy has a powerful talent to transform both timeless classics and modern tunes into a fresh, explosive experience for any listener. Her original material entails a wide range of genres, from the sultry, bluesy sound of "Dance Slowly" and "Woman Who," to the bittersweet candor of "Too Late for Love Songs" and "Wake Me." Stacy Allyn Baker has just completed her debut album and performs weekly at the Encore Lounge in Boston, MA.
