Death to Palaces is the first full length album from Young Sportsmen. Drawing influence from bands like Guided by Voices, the Who and Cheap Trick, Young Sportsmen put rock back into pop rock.
Bio / Background
Young Sportsmen play loud guitar pop like Guided by Voices, the Jam or Cheap Trick.
Formed in the Spring of 2005, the four Sportsmen quickly recorded their debut release, "The Familiar Glow of Colliding Particles" EP, in a friend's living room with a mission of melody and volume. Though it was originally considered a demo, it soon turned into a surprising success in their home town of Seattle, making time on local radio stations KEXP and KNDD, and enjoying critical praise from a host of print and online music publications.
