Bio / Background
Shortly after forming in 2003, Spiff and Krisis spent two years writing and recording over fifty songs and performing at all thirteen of their counties’ high schools as well as countless party and basement gigs. A few years later, armed with a socially and politically charged message, Spiff and Krisis moved up the local ranks to the larger clubs in their home state of Maryland. They have played clubs such as the Recher Theatre, Thunderdome, Sonar, Brass Monkey, and the Grange Hall a number of times to an audience of primarily punk rock and hip hop kids from the Baltimore area. All the while attracting an audience with their message, energetic live show complete with break dancing and freestyling, and constant on-stage humor.
In 2004 and 2005, Spiff and Krisis continued performing at the local venues and getting booked on college gigs in PA, NC, and MD. These gigs included UNC Chapel Hill, Elon University, Penn State, Duke University, and UMD College Park.
