Catchy melodies with infectious riffs that are 90's rock influenced.
Bio / Background
Our band is called South Oval primarily because it is the street where the inspiration for our music was formed, but also because it has many connotations. South Oval was formed by Greg and Andrew Almas 5 years ago. After performing as a duet acoustically and electrically, the brothers decided to expand the band to include a bass player (Graham Booth) and a drummer (William Stewart). South Oval is from Hamilton (Canada) and currently performs locally around the Golden horseshoe/Greater Toronto Area.
South Oval draws its inspiration from bands such as Jimmy Eat World, The Foo Fighters, Coldplay, The Goo Goo Dolls, Bush, U2, Blink 182, Oasis, and many others.
"We try to write songs with catchy riffs, so that when listeners hear our songs, they get annoyed that they can't get the tunes out of their heads! We want people to listen to our songs so many times that they are sick of hearing them, because that is what a good song evokes from a listener."
