Bio / Background

The varied backgrounds of the members of Los Angeles based The Soundabout make for a decidedly fresh take on modern pop music. With their self-titled, debut album, principal songwriter and vocalist/guitarist Daniel Cleland, veteran rock/jazz drummer Greg Paxton, multi-instrumentalist and bassist Dave Beery, and blues-influenced lead guitarist Daryl Boggs create a sound that is always in touch with their influences, but never follows in the same path. With a focus on strong melodies, lyrics, and lots of good old fashioned harmonies, this album just might be what your ears have been craving. The Soundabout don't attempt to revolutionize the genre, but rather embrace it until it conforms to their mold.
