Bio / Background

Chapel Hill, NC is an indie rock town, but every once in awhile a band comes together that discards the conventions of the town's genre of choice & tries to do something a bit different. Sleepsound is one such example, & although relative newcomers to central North Carolina's vibrant music scene, their live shows have been garnering much attention in recent months. The band's songs are dreamy pop that emphasizes simplicity, melody, & emotion. They have been compared to bands such as Coldplay, Sigur Ros, & Ben Folds, but although this statement is cliche, they truly have a sound of their own.
