Bio / Background
The Simian Rebellion is electronic music by Jeff Stephenson. The idea was to make music that people would enjoy, and also enjoy making the music.
The first album "Psynomolgus" was composed, performed, arranged, mixed and mastered by Jeff Stephenson. Every note, beat, and tweak is a labor of love. Melodies and rich harmonies mingle with rhythms that serve the music, not overwhelm it. The Simian Rebellion aims to alter the listener's notions on Electronica, and wants to bring electronic music to a more considerable light.
Jeff utilized his own mixing and mastering techniques to achieve "just the right sound" that would define his music. The result is a solid testament to his love of music.
"Psynomolgus" can be enjoyed anywhere, at any volume setting. You will discover something new everytime you listen to it. If you play this album at a party, people start enjoying themselves. If you play it in your car, a commute becomes an introspective journey.
