The catchiness of the melodies are supposed to make you want to sing along (aloud or silently)... and listen to the songs again and again (catchy does not always mean simple). And hopefully by doing so you will get to a deeper meaning of the words.

The music that I fall in love with is very often like that, too - Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake... Fancie, Thanksgiving....Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk.... Music that has multiple layers to explore and an attractive surface. It's like with people.

So... I hope you and my songs will become friends.
