Bio / Background
George Michael Siener
“Mike” developed his musical interests early in life and began playing in garage bands, before he was old enough to drive, mainly lead guitar. He took on the challenge to play lead because no one in the band wanted to. The lead mostly consisted of leads in “Secret Agent man”, a two string leads.
As his musical career advanced, his bands played on the weekends in Chattanooga, Tennessee and the cities nearby. In Dalton - the church pulled the plug on the group “literally” because he played to loud and in Cartersville his claim to fame was that he taught the entire town to do the “Boogie.”
One day, in Elijay Georgia, Mike recalls, a huge mountain man approached the stage and said “That’s pretty good music, although I have not heard it before.” He startled us because he was big and gruff looking. He looked like he could have taken us all on with one hand tied behind his back.
↓ more ↓The band was gratified that he did not want to tangle, he simply asked, “I want you’ all to play the Buck dance.” What a relief! Oooops, we were in trouble. Our repertoire at the time consisted of Grass roots, Hendrix, grand funk railroad and etc.. Well, we had a quick on stage meeting and exploded out of the circle that we had made into some, some, some, kind of country boogie. When we finished, the big mountain man approached the stage again with no facial expression at all. Needless to say, we thought maybe, we should head for the door. When he got to the front of the stage he let out a whoop and stated for all to hear, “that’s the best Buck dance music ever.”
After the teen years, when all the teen bands were making it, just not in Chattanooga, Mike began recording under the name of Choo Choo Mike. He achieved some degree of regional success thru the years; however, as the World Wide Web has taken over mass communications, Mike has began to produce a song a week. Who knows what will happen! We are hoping for the best with your help!
The new album “Coming Soon” is a reflection of Mike’s grown up views, which all tend to lean toward - The rights of property owners and, all our liberties. Neighborhood cameras and profiling is bad, and well, heck listen to the album.
We are all under attack, as sure as the attack on Pearl Harbor there are those that would see our personal liberties fade. Stand up and voice yourself.
