Bio / Background
Lucy Shropshire, the youngest of 10 children was always partial to all music forms, various instruments, writting music, performing and recording.
Very early on in her life, there was evidence of natural abilities when Lucy began to walk on December 25, 1955, just eight months after her birth. Inspired by the sight of a childsized piano that was bought for her sisters, Lucy pulled herself up and walked over to the instrument and began banging on it as if she knew what it was for. The family watched in awe as she had never seen a piano before.
From that moment on Lucy has been immersed in music of all forms including choral and instrumental music, jazz, gospel, rhythm and blues and country music.
All through her school years, Lucy took advantage of every musical opportunity including, concert band, marching band, chorus, ensembles, accompanying other student artists and music clubs.
