Bio / Background
Music is heavenly. And when it's purely devotional, it's truly Divine. Such genres of music are Bhajan and Kirtan. Bhajans are simple songs in soulful language expressing the many-splendored emotions of love for God, a complete submission or self-surrender through singing. Kirtan can be either deeply spiritual or just having fun singing or both. Kirtan is a call and response chanting, where the leader sings a phrase, either in simple Sanskrit or in English, the audience repeats that phrase, and it continues back and forth, thus creating a wonderful creation of Love and Light.
Raji and Ramesh invite you to come and experience beautiful kirtan and bhajan music for yourself. Dwell in the Divine and the Love that swirls everywhere with the music. Raji and Ramesh use accompanying instruments such as, a bass, harmonium and simple percussion, and other instruments depending on the performers.
These chants are created and derived from their teacher, Dattatreya Siva Baba.
