Bio / Background
In her debut CD, "Beyond What I Can See", Sharon Dennis takes us with new eyes to places common and dreamed. Carefully crafted songs and impassioned vocals bring us through a sense of seriousness in the tragic events of September 11 ("Time Has Turned the Page") to a lighthearted delight with a wry sense of humor ("Latte Blues"). Sharon's guitar lines are complemented by Doris Au MacDonald on keyboard, synthesizer, and background vocals - answering the musical questions presented on the CD with orchestral flair.
Sharon offers interesting perspectives on life drawing from her careers as a petroleum engineer, mother of four, worship leader, computer consultant, and singer-songwriter. In the CD intro, she challenges us, "Dare to step among the stars," -- and so, through her music, we do.
