Bolstered by the inclusion of their first single, "All Of This," in the Playstation 2 game "Guitar Hero," Shaimus' fresh-yet-familiar sound combines catchy hooks, soaring melodies, and searing guitar solos.
Bio / Background
SHAIMUS is a Los Angeles-based alternative rock band with a sound that is both fresh and familiar, with moments reminiscent of Rooney, Guster, Coldplay, and The Beatles. Bolstered by the inclusion of their first single, “All Of This,” in the hit Playstation 2 game, Guitar Hero, Shaimus’s ever-increasing buzz has lead to over 1,000 sales of their debut album, Paper Sun, and 6,000 iTunes downloads. A successful West Coast tour has only helped the band gain more momentum, building an email list of 1,000 subscribers. Their memorable hooks and fiery guitar work has recently graced the airwaves of XM and college radio stations.
The five members of Shaimus met at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where they recorded Paper Sun, a 10-song album that showcased their tight songwriting and tasteful musicianship.
