An eclectic and soulful combination of blues, folk and rock blending clear and luscious harmonies with complex and imaginative guitar playing. Influenced by Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, and Ricki Lee Jones.
Bio / Background
Jimmy and Jennifer first performed together in 2001 at an open mic in a small mountain town in Colorado. After a year or so of occasional impromptu gigs and many inquiries from listeners about where they'd be playing next, they had their first "official" gig together up in Estes Park. The response from the audience convinced them they had stumbled upon something they should seriously pursue.
With varied but shared influences from big band and jazz, to the acoustic rock and blues of Browne, Raitt, Clapton and the Allman's, their original music is sometimes difficult to categorize. Sferes & White's debut collaborative CD project "The View from Here" dips its toes into several genres including country rock, jazz, blues, and folk, without totally diving fully into any one category. In the near future you'll find them at house concerts and listening rooms where audiences enjoy the interaction and humor they bring to their live performances.
