Inspired by the river, here is a great piano solo album featuring stirring improvisations along with romantic classical pieces...A lush mellow sound combined with an exquisite touch makes this CD a great companion for winding down
Bio / Background
Hello!
Thank you for your interest in my music. "Impromptu by the River" is my first CD, my first step on the exciting path of my recording career. As the title implies it is totally improvised, but for the few romantic classical pieces which themselves are played from the heart, as I feel them. So this album is somewhat unpolished if I may say, yet it has this genuine quality to it which seems to leave nobody indifferent.
The river is my anchor, my daily companion, wether I flyfish it for steelhead and salmon or just sit on it's banks and meditate, mesmerized by it's ever changing patterns.
I watch it while playing the grand piano in my studio. That is probably the reason why people say I have this unique flowing style at the keyboard.
Water has been my companion since I was a five year old boy in France when my Dad taught me how to fish.I sat at the piano for the first time around that age too. And now, some fifty years later, music and fishing are still my predominant passions.
