This is not your average blues band! The powerhouse vocals of Sarah Ayers, coupled with an incredibly tight, funky rhythm section and a bold, edgy guitar sound makes this CD one worth adding to your collection. Sarah Ayers Band's special blend of funky, kick-ass, butt-shaking blues has rocketed them right through the usual rites of passage for a new blues band, filling in for national act Carey Bell at the Lehigh Valley Blues and Jazz Festival, competing in the regional International Blues Challenge, and performing in the Best of the Lehigh Valley Festival. Although Sarah Ayers Band has been together for less than 2 years, they have won several awards at the Lehigh Valley Music Awards, an honor in their local area, including Best Female Vocalist, Best Blues Vocalist, Best Original Band, and Best Original Song for track #1 on this CD!
