Folk Americana at its finest. Driven by passion and emotion, this Atlanta native, will touch the deepest part of you with his 4th record.
Bio / Background
“When you get up on stage or even track a new song, you have to be able to deliver the goods, you have to hit the right notes, play the right chords, sing every song with a passion that will draw each listener to you as you pull them in.” As for recording artist Ryan Horne, he is one musician that can do just that. “I believe that in order to be a great artist, you have to write songs that relate and you have to put the ‘passion’ into them. So many artists these days lack the passion, they lack the emotion that makes a good song great,” states Ryan. From extensive touring across the United States even into different parts of the world, 3 independent albums under his belt by the age of 24, his 4th album, 'Love & War,' due out in January of 2007 produced by a Grammy Award winning producer, selling thousands of copies as an independent artist, and crafting his work differently with every album, Ryan has proved to be a big force in this massive music industry.
↓ more ↓Starting his music career back in 2001 with his 1st independent release, “Second Door on the Right,” produced by Dave Moody in Charlotte, NC, Ryan stepped out and began his journey into the unknown without realizing his music would soon have a huge following. In 2003, Ryan released his 2nd independent album, “Sittin’ With the Maker,” which consisted of 12 stripped down, acoustic songs that Ryan had written during his time in Tennessee. His 3rd release, “Lost Highway,” is full of a diverse group of upbeat tunes and relaxed melodies with passionate vocals and lyrics. All of his music is full of insight into life and the questions that so many of us ask, whether it be love, loss, politics, religion, there always seems to be a consistent theme behind every track. Whether it is a story from his long travels on the road or the hard times that we all endure throughout life, a song will usually form.
With his 4th independent album, “Love & War,” released in January of 2007, Ryan embarks on a journey that takes us all searching for answers. Working with Grammy Award winning producer and friend Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay, Bebo Norman) in Nashville, TN and having some of the finest musicians in Nashville join him in the studio has definitely made this Ryan’s best work to date. Recorded entirely at Sputnik Studios in Nashville, TN, Ryan was joined by the likes of Andrew Osenga (Caedmon’s Call), Andy Hubbard (Little Big Town), Andrea Zonn (James Taylor), Matt Slocum (Sixpence None the Richer), Kenny Hutson (Vigilantes of Love), Ben Shive, and Aaron Sands, all who played a key role in the making of this album. With influences that range from Rufus Wainwright to Martin Sexton, Ryan’s new album turns out to be an amazing craft of art that blends a folky americana sound and wraps it up into one beautiful story.
