Bio / Background

Santa Cruz based singer/songwriter Rob Owen has just completed the studio recording of his June 2007 release “Barefoot in the Rain”. He has a summer booked full of shows in the San Francisco Bay area including, Foster City Art and Wine Festival, Palo Alto Festival of the Arts, Kuumbwa’s Songwriter’s Showcase, Santa Clara Songwriter’s Showcase, and the list goes on…

His accomplishments have been growing exponentially in both studio work and the stage for the past 10 years. Some highlights include: 4 full length cd’s (3 of which are with his past band Oka Road), a spot on MTV’s “Fraternity Life” series, 2 appearances on one of Monterey Bays largest radio stations KMBY “acoustic breakfast”, multiple plays on KZSC and KJCC, public television appearances, and also placed in the top 5 out of 100 songwriters in the 2004 MARS Songwriters contest.
