Bio / Background
East coast guitarrorist Paul Wayne has joined forces with Seattle musician/producer team Geoff Ott (bass) and Jonathan Plum (drums) to bring you RipSpacer. This fortuitous line-up offers the full rock experience with explosive guitar-laced attack and release. Influences include: Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Blues Explosion. This cache of influence combined with Dylanesque / Keroucian lyrics by Paul Wayne express the post-millennial fire that is RipSpacer.

The music on EXCESS IN MODERATION was performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Paul Wayne with Jonathan Plum at Plum-OTT studios in Seattle between the months of August and October of 2004. Jonathan Plum plays drums and sings the backing vocals with Paul Wayne on vocals, verbs, axes and hatchets. All songs and cover art by Paul Wayne.
↓ more ↓The fall of the two towers in 2001 prompted Paul Wayne to a return-visit to the Northwest to pursue a Pro-tools internship with renowned Producer Jonathan Plum in Seattle. The internship turned into a working-relationship at which time EXCESS IN MODERATION (w/ Jonathan Plum on the traps). This CD is a direct descendant of the vinyl stacks of music hauled around from State to state over the years by Paul Wayne.
Influences include: Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, John Lennon, and Bob Dylan.
