Female-fronted pop rock tunes
Bio / Background
Ringleader is modern rock band located in the Washington DC area. The band's founders Lena Esposito and Chris Brownelle combine a sharp focus on vocal melody and layered musical textures to create catchy pop rock songs. Ringleader's EP No Slide Guitar (copyright ©2005 Esposito/Brownelle, Get Ringleadermusic Publishing (ASCAP)) contains the songs "Bonds", "South Dakota", and "Lovetrap" which provide the basic, heavy but hook-filled modern pop sound while "Imaginary Best Friend" and "Sound Barrier" showcase a more quiet and introspective side.
Ringleader has enjoyed many positive reviews of its EP. From Download.com: Ringleader is the one to watch in this modern pop circus. From Smother.net: Ringleader has a firm grasp on everything that is pop and all that’s in between. From Impact Press: Solid female vocals pour out over mainstream power pop.
↓ more ↓Recent projects include work on three new songs with noted producer Jim Ebert (Meredith Brooks, Butch Walker) at Dragonfly Studios in Haymarket, Virginia. "Jaywalker", a heavy riff-driven song about urban living, "What He Says", a classic pop love song, and "Play Pretend" a ska-influenced tune, are the latest releases currently offered by way of digital distribution.
Ringleader will spend the current year writing, recording, and playing live it's growing backlog of material.
