Rika's music is folk rock/Japanese woman rock with her beautiful voice.
Bio / Background
Rika's first single CD came out in 1991, and she had already released 7single CD's and 3 albums. She is also performing shows at plenty of clubs, live houses in Tokyo area. Rika went to Portland last October to perform at NXNW music conference. That was first appearance in U.S. for Rika, and was big success. She has her own radio show, "Rambling Music" on Musashino-FM, Tokyo (community).
She still keeps writing English lyrics, and her new album be released on March, 2000 in Japan. She hopes to release her CD on the U.S. label. She got the performances at NXNW 2000!! and played in San Diego and San Francisco September. She gets a lot of feedback from outside of Japan through Internet, and in this March, she got to pack for going to United States again to perform at SXSW 2001 in Austin, TX and performing at clubs in Seattle around that time.
