Bio / Background
Piano lessons for years didn't work; I just kept memorizing my pieces and watching my fingers as I played until my piano teacher held books over my hands so I couldn't look down. But it wasn't until I was seventeen that I started to write songs-the ones that had been in my head for years and years, and it was still another year before I sang the words to them. Still nervous, still learning, this was my first project, recorded the summer after I graduated high school. I recorded my second album "Boys and Girls" last semester, my sophomore year of college at Sarah Lawrence. It will be out in another month (early november '03) and available here or on my website.
