Bio / Background
"Classic rock instincts with modern rock aggression," that's how Radio Free America describes their unique brand of garage band music. Having played together since they were fourteen years old, RFA has grown up together in every conceivable sense.
Originally known as The Shoecrackers of Bethlehem, Kris Jung, Brian Levine and Cory Danziger spent the majority of their teenage years playing all of the major clubs in the Los Angeles area. For four years, they tore up venues like The Roxy, The Whiskey and Club Mancini, with sold out crowds. The band even broke a record at Doug Weston's Troubador, with the largest attendance set by a non-touring band. To date, this record has yet to be broken.
After a brief hiatus, the band reformed as Radio Free America in 2001. With Kris Jung on vocals and guitar, Cory Danziger on vocals and guitar, Brian Levine on drums and bassist Matt Booth, the band has spent the last two years working with Producer Steve Deutsch of MARS Recording Studio.
