Relay are happy to announce, at last, the release of their brand new studio album, Circuit Breaker, the long awaited follow up to Switch released back in the summer of 2003. At the time Switch was a big step forward for this band in that it debuted a whole new line up to augment original members Steve Tsoi and Bob Addis who have been playing together for over 30 years.
Switch was the start of a whole new journey for Relay and gave them the confidence to return to the local live scene. Switch took on a life of its own and, with radio airplay in the USA, Germany, France and the UK, started to make its mark internationally generating positive reviews from Strutterzine, Powerplay and Sound on Sound.
Circuit Breaker is more than a worthy follow up, with the line up settled for the past 3 years they've had time to gel both in the studio and on stage.

Female fronted melodic rock crew Relay hail from Essex in the UK. Their sound blends the musical stylings of the likes of Sahara, Lochinvar, Jet Trail, Mikeyla, Saraya, Glass Wolfe, Lana Lane or Finnish Eurovision babe Hanna Pakarinen, courtesy of Alison Taffs who can boast a great set of, er, lungs. Their albums are pretty evenly matched, but my personal preference goes out to 'Circuit Breaker'. Love the keyboards on both, giving them a distinct progressive touch. Needless to say this again is essential stuff for all you rock chick lovers out there.
