ABOUT REESE
REESE is rock music. REESE is rap music. REESE is funk music. REESE is accessible music. REESE has been performing throughout North America and Europe since 2001. He's opened for well know artists including Lauryn Hill and has filled in for larger artists including Ben Folds. REESE has been featured on CBS The Early Show as "the next big thing in the music business, .... who lights up the East Village". He's performed on multiple television and radio programs in the US, Canada and Europe.
The history of REESE's begins with his first independent and self-titled release in January 1997. REESE's second release, REESE Live (ES Volume 1) came out May 1999. It is a live CD from a performance at NYC's famous club, The Bitter End. His first retail release, “Eclectic Soul” arrived in stores and online in fall 2001 to great reviews and buzz.
↓ more ↓His song "Love To Spare" received much radio airplay and its video received a good amount of airplay on stations including College TV, Much Music and BET (very good for a rock song/performer). REESE’s fourth CD, an acoustic guitar based set, “Bare Soul” was released online and at live shows March 2005. “Bare Soul” is a favorite of REESE’s fans who love the intimacy he conveys when performing acoustically. REESE's forthcoming fifth CD, “New Fire: Pain B4 Pleasure” will be commercially released in the spring of 2007. “New Fire” features REESE with his band, of three top musicians from the NYC club scene. REESE the band is: REESE on vocals and rhymes, Mike Barnes of Shocka Zooloo on guitar, Shyndigg from Digg Deep on bass, CWill on drums. "New Fire" features guest vocalist Gary "Nesta" Pine from legendary group, The Wailers.
“New Fire” is REESE’s the best offering yet and the US is already embracing it! The first single, "ll:Aah:ll:Yeah:ll" is receiving stadium play around the US. Sports teams from the NFL, NBA, and NHL are playing "ll:Aah:ll:Yeah:ll" every time they score, or during their warm up. Some (The NY Knicks and The Detroit Lions, to name a few) have made it their music for their highlight reels. The Chicago Bears made "ll:Aah:ll:Yeah:ll" their new stadium chant for 2006!
2007 brings great news! ESPN has made "ll:Aah:ll:Yeah:ll" the music for their "Ultimate Highlight" piece which airs every episode of their number 1 show, "Sports Center"! And, M.S.G. Network and The NY Knicks use "ll:Aah:ll:Yeah:ll" in their promotional campaigns (both on-air and in-stadium). REESE and "New Fire: Pain B4 Pleasure" is moving strong in 2007! Look for REESE to come to your town soon!
