Bio / Background
ReDUX band is a Pacific Northwest rock group known for their great energy and taste in rock, soul and funk.
Lead singer Beth Schramer has been belting out rock vocals since she was a teenager, although in the 70's, it was difficult for a young woman to front a rock band unless she was willing to cover girl group type songs. Beth just wanted to rock. Her vocal stylings were influenced by singers like Cream's Jack Bruce, David Bowie and Steve Winwood. She belts it out from her heart and her toes.
Guitarist Paul Schramer met Beth when he was a young bassist near Chicago, and they relocated to the Seattle area where they played in The Ducks and raised their drummer prodicgy son Justin. As local northwest writer Hollie Huthman wrote in her review of Been Here Before:
" Justin, growing up in a culture of music has obviously fostered fantastic skill on the drums which now contributes to a very tight sound."
Paul became the group's guitarist and wrote most of the group's original songs.
