Bio / Background
"Raw Deal" is a new and exciting band based in the Philadelphia and New York areas. "Raw Deal" plays an eclectic blend of original funk, New Orleans, blues and jazz, in a jam band setting. The musicianship is very high as all four of the "Raw Deal" members have been fixtures on the Philadelphia/New York jazz and jam-band scenes for years. All members of "Raw Deal" have studied extensively and most teach on the college level.
This debut CD a must buy for listeners that crave multi-styled music that is fun to party and listen to. Catchy melodies, great improvisation, and very funky grooves are the dominate traits that define the hot original style of the "Raw Deal Band". Check it out!!
